Ipoh Cargo Terminal Sdn Bhd (ICT) plays both a supplementary and complementary role to existing ports in the country as a one stop centre cargo carriage and acceptance. ICT operates daily dedicated train services provided by Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) to and from Port Klang.
The trains move from Ipoh to Port Klang and from Port Klang back to Ipoh with a capacity up to 50 bcf of wagons or 100 TEUS of containers. Agreement was also established with Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) for ICT to run additional trains services if the request exceeds the above capacity.
